Organizing your event depends on the numbers

Inside and intimate
If you’re planning on using only the inside of the Mansion, the maximum number of guests is 100.
The Fire Marshall set the number so it isn’t negotiable and you wouldn’t want to anyway. You’ll need an appointment to view the interior as the Mansion is kept locked. Call 203-854-7806 to arrange.
When you add the terrace, the formula changes
You can easily accommodate up to 150 seated quests on the open part of the terrace. It’s a great place to have a smaller ceremony or use as a transitional cocktail area. Some people rent a small tent for shade during the cocktail hour.
What if my guest list is 200?
Your rental includes our tented terrace. The space is large enough for a sit down affair for 200. We also include tables and chairs for that number of guests. If you wish to have a ceremony in the lawn you must rent your own chairs for that part of the event. Ours are only allowed on the terrace or inside.
The Tea House porch provides an intimate backdrop for ceremonies, as does the Sculpture Garden. Both are also excellent for photos. We’ve even seen a few brides perched in trees. We’re pretty sure your photographer will be happy here.

Included as part of the rental fee is the following inventory of items guaranteed to Mansion users.
(2) 72” diameter round tables
(18) 60” diameter round tables
(8) 8 foot long tables
(4) 18” x 72” tables
(210) padded upholstered chairs
